Since 2005, John has led public equity investing at KKR, Golden Gate Capital and J.H. Whitney after spending the first ten years of his career leading private equity investments. In his most recent role as Head of Public Equities at KKR, John successfully executed on investments and delivered strong returns and alpha, as he has done over the past 15 years. John received his MBA from Stanford and B.A. from Yale, where he played varsity hockey. During college, he founded and sold a baseball hat company called J&J Lids.
Marcello was most recently a Managing Director at Golden Gate Capital (GGC), a private equity fund, where he led the firm’s public equity effort and also focused on tech private equity. He worked closely with John at GGC. Prior to GGC, he was at Alesco Global Advisors, a long/short hedge fund. Marcello received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford where he played varsity water polo. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of LiveVox (LVOX).
Lesley was recently a Senior Analyst at Victory Capital as a member of the RS investment team where she covered a variety of consumer businesses and grew the fund’s capital base substantially over her tenure. Prior to RS, Lesley worked closely with John at the Whitney Green River Fund and began her career at Oaktree Capital. Lesley received her MBA from Stanford and holds a B.A. in Economics and Art History from Wellesley College. She is recognized as a Top 100 Woman in Hedge Funds.
Arthur was most recently a Vice President at Golden Gate Capital (GGC), a private equity fund, where he worked closely with Marcello on the firm’s public equity investing efforts. Prior to GGC, he was at The Gores Group, a Los Angeles based private equity fund, and before that was at J.P. Morgan in investment banking. Arthur received a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago where he ran varsity cross country and track.
Matt was most recently a Director at KKR, where he worked closely with John in leading the Americas public equities business. Prior to KKR, Matt focused on TMT private equity at GTCR, an upper middle-market private equity fund. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in the firm’s M&A group. Matt received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University.
Niki was most recently a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where she led the firm’s West Coast Capital Introduction efforts. Prior to Goldman, Niki worked for UBS’ Prime Brokerage division in London, San Francisco, and Sydney. Niki began her career at Financial Risk Management (FRM), now part of Man Group. Niki received a MA in Economics and Management Studies from the University of Oxford.
